Course Calendar ? Practical Well Testing
About the Course
This course is designed to provide delegates with the principles of dynamic well testing relating to downhole, sub-sea and surface equipment. It also gives an insight into well test planning, execution, QC and data analysis. The students will get an understanding of how hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs are evaluated, i.e. formation properties, wellbore damage, reservoir boundaries, and heterogeneities - in terms of wellbore pressures and flowrates.
Duration
5 days
Who Should Attend
Geologists; Drilling Engineers; Reservoir Engineers; Petroleum and Production Engineers; Development, Asset and Project Managers.
You Will Learn
- Basic Reservoir Understanding and Reservoir concepts - porosity and permeability - Reservoir drive mechanisms
- VOI (Value of Information) - Reasons for performing well tests
- Types of Test; Oil or Gas, Cased hole, Barefoot – Openhole, Closed Chamber, Isochronal, Multi-Rate - Deciding type of Test
