Our ongoing commitment to the industry is reflected in our scholarship programme for undergraduate and post-graduate students at the University of Western Australia , Curtin University School of Petroleum Engineering and the University of Adelaide . This support extends to provision of lecturing support, mentoring of student projects and employment of graduate engineers.

AWT Well Technologies Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to encourage students to undertake fields of study which may lead to a career specialising in the following:

  • Well Test Engineering
  • Well Completion Engineering
  • Production Technology

These are some of the most challenging and rewarding areas of the oil and gas industry for engineers to work in as they involve interaction with many other disciplines, collection and analysis of data, modeling and design of solutions and a hands-on approach to achieve business results.

ApplicationRequirements

This one year scholarship is available to students of the University of Western Australia and Curtin University who will be enrolled in the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Oil & Gas Engineering), final year students
  • Graduate Diploma (Oil & Gas Engineering)
  • Master of Oil & Gas Engineering
  • Master of Petroleum Engineering

Applicants should submit a written application providing the following information:

  1. Why you chose your current field of study
  2. What personal interests you have in well technology
  3. Provide a copy of academic results to date, resume and references
  4. Describe intended method of funding your studies and any special circumstances which you face that may be improved by award of the scholarship
  5. Have you applied for or are you already in receipt of other scholarships?
  6. Provide contact details for the remainder of the university term and vacation period

Applications close on 20 December . Interviews with shortlisted candidates will be conducted during January and February and the award made by end-February.
