Society of Petroleum Engineers

SPE

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a professional organisation whose mission is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.

The Society for Underwater Technology

SUT

The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) is a multi-disciplinary learned society that brings together organisations and individuals with a common interest in underwater technology, ocean science and offshore engineering.

SUT was founded in 1966 and has members from more than 40 countries, including engineers, scientists, other professionals and students working in these areas.

The Western Australian Energy Research Alliance

WAERA

The Western Australian Energy Research Alliance (WA:ERA) combines the multi-disciplinary expertise of three established research institutions: The University of Western Australia, CSIRO Petroleum and Curtin University of Technology.

Based at the Australian Resources Research Centre (ARRC) at Perth?s Western Australian Technology Park, the alliance is one of the principal hubs in State?s oil and gas technology cluster.

Western Australian Oil and Gas Industry Co-ordinating Council

WAOGICC

The Western Australian Oil and Gas Industry Co-ordinating Council is committed to maximizing Western Australian participation in the oil and gas industry and to creating increased business and employment opportunities to further the economic development of the State and the Nation.

The Council is chaired by the Minister for State Development and consists of industry, Government and union movement leaders and will, for the first time, facilitate ongoing communication between the oil and gas industry's major stakeholders.

The Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training

ACEPT

The Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT) is at the leading-edge of training for the Australian Oil & Gas, and Chemicals & Minerals processing industries.

Hosted by Challenger TAFE on behalf of its TAFEWA consortium partners, ACEPT has been founded in collaboration with industry, and is guided by a 25-member industry board, comprising representatives from major operating and service companies.
